My interests started with 1991 rave tapes.Being absorbed by the sounds of Oldskool, Jungle and Techno prompted me into buying a set of decks and start mixing. I started mixing at 15, over the next few years i had moved on from oldskool and was mixing a more hard, progressive techno sound but soon got tired of the same 4/4 kick and turned my interests to drum and bass. By this time is was being asked to play at free parties and clubs.
My interest in production was growing and after being shown round some studios i decided to get some equipment and start learning. The first set up was basic, an old Atari with Cubase and a Roland Groovebox but this taught me the basics of using a sequencer and i started writing tunes. After a while my frustration was high due to limited equipment and i started buying more.
It got to a point where i had 4-5 completed tunes i was happy with and i decided to mail out a cd to record labels. A few days later J Majik phoned up wanting 2 tunes for a 12" on Infrared Records. This encouraged me to write more music and through the label i started to DJ more at places like Fabric, London.
Over the next few years i continued writing tunes, watching and hearing the dnb scene evolve and seing different trends come and go but still focusing on what i felt in the studio. Now, labels like Covert Operations, Camino Blue and Bios Recordings have been takin in by the Motion sound and are putting out more of my music
